First of all, it's a banned substance. Of course, unless you are an olympic caliber athtlete, you probably won't be tested in your competitive endevors. However, you may find this unethical, as you will no doubt be competing against others who do not use banned substances.

That said, it helps, INITIALLY. I run, but was never a good early morning runner. When I first tried Adderall, I was out the door charging before 6am. However, some weeks later, I had one of the biggest and longest depression crashes I ever had, and that's saying something, 'cause I've had many whammies.

I will no longer touch Adderall. However, some posters here swear by it, so depending on your diagnosis, it may be helpful for you. I would just strongly warn against taking it strictly for a performance boost. I believe you'll pay for it, one way or the other. My advice for better performance: train harder, hit the gym and eat well.
