> Dreamy - psychosis is characterized by a gross impairment in reality testing. The individual incorrectly evaluates the accuracy of his/her perceptions and thoughts and makes incorrect references about external reality, even in the face of contrary evidence (actually this sounds like the definition of a politician or those who act on the board of any professional licencing board ;^p). Psychosis is often characterized by regressive behavior (eg. withdrawing into oneself or "negative symptoms"), inappropriate mood (eg. mood incongruent behavior, such as laughing at a funeral), and diminished impulse control. Example of psychosis are what you have listed above (ie. auditory or visual hallucinations, delusions, etc.). - Cam
