Yes....PTSD can affect you manys years later. My father was murdered 5 years ago. I never sought therapy, just meds. I hit bottom July 15 and OD'd on Xanax (to make it "all go away"). I was hospitalized for 6 days and am now in an outpatient program 5 days a week (cognitive therapy). Please....don't hesitate to seek help, even if you don't think you need it.... memory and concentration is at a minimum.
