converts to islam, huh.

yes, she has issues with her knees. she does the 'funky knee cave' on most of her squats. where leg extension (and ineternal rotation / knee cave) initiates her ascent out of a deep squat positon with load.

rather than extention (and external rotation / knees going outwards) initiating ascent out of a deep squat.

it's hard. because the way she did it got her best at Euros. Europen championship etc.

But...

It is a terminal strategy. In the sense that she'll get it handed to her by the Chinese (and various assortments thereof e.g., Chinese Taipei.)

You gotta wait.....

Wait....

Wait...

For the external rotation compoent to kick in to initiate the ascent from squats and cleans and snatches and the like.

And you'll feel like you are weaker... For the start...

Yes, she has hair. But she also has the funky knee cave. That's when you go to stand up from a squat and instead of your knees going outwards they cave inwards: aka: you have 'knee issues'.

she has so much strength to burn (in the European Championships and other competititions she was training for).

You learn...

You start to stand yourself up... And when you feel your knees going into external rotation you stop them. It means your ascent is paused. You don't allow your ascent to continue until your external rotators have kicked in enough to allow you to ascend with a good knee position. It will happen. It feels like it won't. It takes 3 seconds max.

It is bad coaching. For whatever they said about her perfect technique before...

I guess they got confused about her perfect (in some sense) body vs her perfect technique. WIth respect to maximum weights lifted over the training long-haul.

Which was the point -- yes?

She does a really nice lift, there.

I guess she is so popular because her physique is aesthetically pleasant and she has a pleasant face. A good poster-child for the sport.

But strength in external rotation on ascent (faith in that with respect to technique) is the weakness.

Olympics are getting too hard / difficult / tricky. With repect to the various doping reigimes. Testosterone, growth hormone etc etc etc...

Training isn't the touble. It is recovering from the training quickly enough to be able to do more training. Then training perfect technique over and over and over and over and over and over... Recovering quickly enough to fit the technique work in.

Bulgarians used to train 6x per day. Can you imagine the recovery capacity they had to train and eat and sleep and train and eat and sleep and train... 6x per day.

Is the conversion to Islam the end of her lifting career?
