Ombudsman of New Zealand

Apparently the Universities do not need to follow their Calendar Regulations because they are 'historic' or 'administrative' but most importantly:

Because someone made a website that doesn't say who updated it, when it was updated, when it will next be updated... And that website is our highest source of law!

Wowzers.

I know they are just trying to get me to (this is their words) 'stabotage herself'. That's right, they are trying to get me to do something so they can say I stabotaged myself. Why not? I mean, if you can get away with it... Why the hell wouldn't you?

I suppose it it clearer to me now...

The World Bank (or whomever. Something something about the Bank being a fund and the fund being a Bank) whomever whomever whomever basically gives us money.

By 'us' I mean the government.

The government doesn't know how to collect it itself. It doesn't collect it from private things here. It just gets foreign handouts.

And that money is supposed to be spent on development.

It is supposed to be spent on building infrastructure. It is supposed to be spent on education and health and so on...

And it doesn't go to the things it is supposed to go to. It only seems to go to people who make sure that other people don't get the things that they need.

I suppose it is something about being raised in conditions of deprivation. That you think that depriving others is the way forwards. That you don't think. That that is just what you do. There is an unthinking about it. I suppose that is where it is coming from, really.

There is also a self flagillation aspect.

There may also be a self-control issue. Punishment for self-infractions. Why people deprive themselves, sometimes, I mean, including those around them.

Whatever.

Done thinking. Overthinking.

I am afraid that they will matyr me. I will say that. I wont' kill myself. I am afraid they will require me to die for any kind of difference.

Lucricia died. Now that she is gone the law changes. She did not get to see it.

Some kid dies for I think 4 weeks without the University noticing he didn't hand in a compulsory piece of assessment, he didn't turn up to tutorials. A first year student just vanishes and the University doesn't notice at all.

So now, apparently the University can be fined. $100,000. For a life. I guess the real sanction is the loss of earnings from the fact they could have got him paying them that, again, in student fees over the next however long. That's a bit... Facecious.

The point is fiduciary duty was acknwoledged. I don't know that we had that concept before. At all. Maybe a little in the case of financial contracts or something... No... I don't think even there.

But he had to die for that to happen.

The reason we don't have any money is because the money doesn't get spent where it is supposed to be spent.

Who will grade all those student essays? All the money you took from enroling them, who will grade their work? And where will the grading positions be advertised? Will you seek the best person / teh most qualified person for the job? Or will you seek the cheapest? Will you even pay for them to attend lectures and do the readings so they have the same information the students do to grade their work?

How many do they grade in an hour?

What is your process?

What is your process?

They don't take their fees for first year anymore.

I guess the pretense is gone now.

It used to be the case that you could get a tertiary education in this country. I don't know that we have that anymore.

We choose not to spend the money on the things its supposed to be spent on.

We give chunks of it to this and that and pretty much anything and everything other than what its supposed to be spent on.

I have been wondering about whether all the raw product for methamphetamine production comes from. I suppose it must be appropriated medical supplies. I don't see how it could be much of anything else. ADHD meds. Used to be pseudoephidrne from cold and flu tablets.

This is why the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund or what ever cannot give us more money.

And since we don't educate / accredit people who are competent and so on we can't give them more advanced medications and treatments and so on either.

I mean... Who would presribe the cancer medication? The potential for harm would be too great. You don't even want them participating in clinical trials when they aren't taking it apprporiately / being prescribed it appropriately they will only make the drug look bad.

What a f*ck up.

what we need to do with the education thing is to contract it out properly. by which i mean to say off-shore.

we didn't develop it, here. national standards or whatever. it isn't local standards. it is no standards at all. if everybody gets an A for Achieved and Achieved is the highest grade you can get and then if competent people are not allowed to Achieve since it makes everyone else or the whole f*ck*ng thing look bad then you end up with... What we have here. No education at all.

Fortunately we do have the internet. And fortunately there are wonderful websites like Khan Academy that offer good instruction where students can put headphones in and try and follow along even when people are noisy in their environment they can try and pretend to be just wasting time on social media and possibly potentially working towards learning something that would mean they could develop the capability to do things like design secure software systems, build sewerage systems or bridges or habitable homes, or whatever.

Make Cambridge Curriculum or whatever sorts of equivalent international standards study materials and examinations more accessible.

Stringent standards of blind grading and so on. A genine effort.

But I guess people are very invested in keeping slaves, really. And keeping people in appalling conditions approximating slavery. People seem to take special extra delight in keeping the most able and most competent underachieving and kicked down and back and not allowing them to contribute to development at all.

See...

What will happen to me when I get sick?

Nobody will look after me. People will exploit me for their own advantage. I know it. Because that's how they treat me at the very best of times when I am in teh most robust of health.

So I need to look after myself. I need the resources to protect myself. I need the knowledge to make good decisions for myself. I need the resoureces to enforce those decisions for myself.

I am a great believer in informed consent. For peple who want information. I don't mind teaching. But teaching isn't valued here. We only hire teachers who want to 'teach' who don't really have anything to teach and then we don't pay them. They still go to work. We still don't pay them.

You learn that people will pay you for the privaledget of getting to abuse your kids.

So NZ gets more money.

People will pay DHB's too, I bet, for 'contracts' in healthcare. So they can control a bunch of people too sick to protect their own interests.

Things are very bad here.

I came back because I wanted to contribute to development. But people won't let me contribute.

They keep trying to force my contribution.

People don't listen. That's find.

YOu can say 'that cooking implement sheds toxic crap because it is so cheap it isn't fit for purpose the surface lifts off and contamminates all your food'. And people who are in charge of me are too stupid to see. Or psychopathic. Or whatever. And maybe they choose to buy those same things for thmeselves. And I suppose that is their right. And maybe tehy choose those same things for their families. Which is harder but... What are you gonna do? Or maybe they just decide that that's what makes them better than me. That they get to make me live in worse conditions than they live in. And maybe that gives their life some meaning and there is some satisfaction in that for them.

I'm supposed to write a story am I? While I live on disability becuase this country refuses to listen to what I say. Refuses to advertise jobs in things I am skilled in so I can earn a living wage. Refuses to allow me develop my talents and skills.

THe University engages in spamming as many fraudulent transcripts of my academic record as they can... THey are the biggest culpret of fraudulent transcript generation...

All this designed to... What..

What is it all for?

I was supposed to want to join them.

But if you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.

I wonder if any part of this country at all wants there to be competent medical care here.

I mean...

Maybe teh will to die is just too engrained. All the way up.

People just want someoen to look them in the eyes and there there feel better and end it on their behalf.

Except Lucricia. She didn't want to go like that.

Which is why that was the only way she got to go.

Of course.

I've been going to the High Court a bit. And reading Coroners Reports. Can learn a lot about what is going on / wrong in the Health System doing that. I mean from the perspective of 'okay so I know things are going to end badly, here, what would I do to try and produce better outcomes'. And learning that way. Like... Shaken vs fallen infants. Like... Maybe sticking your name badge someplace visible and introducing yourself honestly. Like... Maybe helping people find a place to sit. Looking into what is going on for them so they feel in the loop. Etc etc.

I never asked to be rich.

I didn't want the riches my friends were getting from their jobs in... The knew not why they were being paid so much...

But that was the sitution.

So I know the problem is not that there isn't enough.

It's that people abuse my better nature. My nature is better becauseI would not do that which they did to me to them.

But it is true that I would limit time spent.

I guess that is what that boundary means. So you can act for anothers benefit when you are 'on' then you need to look after you when you are 'off'. You need to have time 'off'.

People don't ever want to see me 'on'.

Nobody is 'on'. Nobody is 'off'. Nobody starts. Nobody finishes.

People make websites where they pronounce the rules don't apply to them and where they collect up all the money from the kids that nobody wants.

I don't know why we don't want to at least TRY and follow the rules. Like, have a good TRY to actually do the things we are actually supposed to do. Have a good TRY and think that if it is true that there isnt' enough tehn we can make a case to peopel who aren't stupid.

By stupid I mean people who cant' see a contradiction when one is presented to them.

'thesis enrolments are due one month prior to the intended start date'.
'applications for thesis enrolments can be made at any time of the year'.

they have ONE MONTH to process my enrolment.

It doesn't get any clearer.

I mean...

Take the medication every 8 hours.

Or not. You do you. YOu do you and you see what happens to / for you when you do you. Whatever.

That doesn't mean you get to make it such that NOBODY gets to have these things.
