The Happy Thread! :-)

Posted by Deneb on July 2, 2005, at 20:22:39

I'm hippity hoppity happy. :o)

What made you happy today?

I ate some yummy Nerds candy...
Now I want more more more candy!
I want some silly kids' candy...crackling, gooey, exploding candy!

I dyed a strand of my hair pink!
I wonder how I would look with some dreadlocks...hehe, I bet I could do it if I really wanted to...my hair isn't razor straight like other Asian people...it's slightly wavy...I can't make it entirely straight without a straightening iron.

Ice cream makes me happy...
Mmmmm...it's so good when one is both super hot and hungry!

Furry animals makes me happy...I love them fat and cute. So soft. :-)

I hope everyone finds a little happiness today!

I ate some nerds candy yesterday!
I haven't had it for years - not since I was a kid.
What flavours do you like?
I like strawberry and grape.

I'd quite like dreds too. The fairly small ones so I can still tye my hair back in a half pony tail. I have had short hair before though, and it doesn't suit me so I'd worry about having to chop my hair when I've had enough of them :-(

Glad you are having a good day :-)

hahaha! I have a whole big box of Nerds on my desk at work. I think half the office has come by my desk to eat at least a handful. :-P

You want to try some cool candy? There is this awesome chocolate candy bar that has the equivilent of Pop Rocks in it. It's totally awesome! Imagine Hershey's Krackel, but instead of the Rice Krispies it's Pop Rocks. I love when the popping sensation goes into my head! Unfortunately, I've only been able to find the candy bars when I've flown over to Israel. I don't know if they sell them anywhere else. Definitely worth a try if you can find them. It will give you the same sensation as when you put a handful of Pop Rocks in your mouth. :-D

Part II -

WooHoo!!!! Thanks to your post I got a cravy for this candy and went on an internet adventure to find it. Well, I found it and where in the US to buy it and have it shipped to me. I'm so happy now. The memories of this candy are flooding my head. Oh happy times! hahaha! :-)

BTW...the company is called Elite Chocolates and they are in Israel. The candy itself is called "Milk Chocolate (Red Cow) with Popping Candy".

Awesome! Yesterday I treated ourselves to some GOOD chocolate - Cadbury's Toasted Almond (in milk chocolate) and Lindt, little individual squares with gooey caramel.
Just what the doctor ordered.
I don't often break down and buy chocolate, and life is soooo much nicer when I do!
Thanks for this yummy thread, Deneb!

I've had not had it for years as well. I don't remember what flavours there are. I think I'll like pretty much all the flavours...except maybe Cherry...it tastes too much like cough syrup.

I wish dreds were not a long term committment...I quite like being able to comb through my hair!

I hope you're having a good day. Can't wait for reports of the happy things that happened to you over the day!

Wow, cool! I haven't seen that movie yet. The last movie I saw was "Sin City". I love seeing movies...it is a great escape for the imagination. I love the excuse to pig out on candy too!

I love holidays where everyone gets to take time off from work. I like thinking that everyone is having fun. I love the fourth of July too, even though I'm in Canada now. I hope you have a great time!

I'm so glad you're happy! It must be great fun to find this childhood favourite! I love it when a smell or taste suddenly conjures up memories from childhood. I think I just might go candy hunting myself now!

Hey Deneb,

I've heard that being happy while eating Nerds candy when you have pink hair while holding a hamster makes your boobs grow big! Oh yeah, but you have to be sharing ice cream with your hammie at the same time! LOL

I'm glad you're happy!

I agree! Mmmmm...chocolate...once you start you can't stop! I've got some major cravings for sweets right now, wierd cuz I'm usually a salty snacks person!

Deneb, was sin city good? I heard it was violent. But I would see it because I like comic book stuff. Batman begins was the first batman movie I saw and liked. I brought my own food (cheetos, hehe). Ya, I pig out on junkfood when I watch movies too! Overall I had a pretty good time.

PS-How are you? :)
