We'll be here when you get back. Be the master over your responsibilities not a slave to them.

What a lovely photo! It's just beautiful! (nm)

I dressed down for the event, tdh. Oh, and great posture was never my forte. : (

BTW, I said that he didn't just take a bunch of snapshots of buildings, so what does he do, but post the one picture that, although nicely balanced, looks like just a bunch of buildings. The others, if he posts them, are less touristy and more artistic. But I've gone way over my quota of compliments of Bob for this month so, I gotta go.

Toph - I have to say that you were taller than I imagined you to be. Not sure why, but there it is.

I'm fond of buildings. When I was in High School I really wanted a camera. I wanted to take pics of buildings from unusual angles in black and white.

NZ looks rather stunted in comparison. Not too many big buildings :-( Thats what you get for low pop. density I guess.

Nice pic :-)

It's a foreshortening effect in the picture, but I am 6' - God only knows how many meters, rods, cubits that is. As for your perception, well, who short that you know do I sound like?

I think you'll appreciate Bob's other pics then.

Maybe I remind you of New Zealand. ; )

I would say that Kiwis must be more secure in themselves, at least the male builders, if you catch my drift.

I hope all is well with you Alex.

Well, I thought it was a perfectly nice back of a more-than-perfectly nice man. And that's all. I couldn't give a rodent's behind about how people dress, really. Most of my wardrobe consists of...well, never mind, maybe that's TMI. And, I'll let you know when I start doing posture-checks on folks...;-)

Sorry to spoil your ever-so-subtle (not!) attempt to try and put yourself down...no having any of that today.

> BTW, I said that he didn't just take a bunch of snapshots of buildings, so what does he do, but post the one picture that, although nicely balanced, looks like just a bunch of buildings. The others, if he posts them, are less touristy and more artistic.

Don't worry, I think we have patience...and we have all the others to look forward to...like the new one today! Where/what is that? It's interesting. (BTW, I liked the first one, too. Does that make me a non-artistic touristy type? I don't mind...gotta start somewhere...;-) )

>But I've gone way over my quota of compliments of Bob for this month so, I gotta go.

Ahh, but it's new month tomorrow. Don't stay too far away for too long, 'kay?

We were heading west on the Chicago River passing under one of many drawbridges. We were looking up enjoying the view until we realized that a Dave Matthew's Band bus might be about to cross over head...

Yeah, you are pretty tall. I think its cause you talk alot about saggy man breasts etc and so I figured you would be shorter and rounder. Funny the sorts of things people say about themselves ;-)

ROFL!
He!

> I would say that Kiwis must be more secure in themselves, at least the male builders, if you catch my drift.

Hmm. That was the centre of town over there on the left... I think it is just low pop density. I'll try and find a pic of Auckland. Its a little bit better. A little bit better. It even has a hypodermic in the sky ;-)

Battling on, Toph. Battling on.

But what are the pictures of???? I love those types of pictures, but I really like to know what building or site they are.

I love Chicago and would love to know what I'm looking at. If it wasn't for those freakin' cold winters, I'd move there. Darn snow!

OMG it is a hypodermic! What subliminal message were the builders trying to convey? Or is this part of Aukland's sophisticated defense against a dirigible attack?

Yup. The tip even glows red at night.

And then the Aussies had to try and outdo it with this effort:

http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2004/10/28/canberratower_gallery__367x550.jpg

Theirs is a telecommunications tower. I'm not sure that ours does anything useful... It houses a casino and revolving restaraunt though.

>What subliminal message were the builders trying to convey?

Dunno... They have needle vending machines... Maybe it is an advertisment ;-)

>Or is this part of Aukland's sophisticated defense against a dirigible attack?

Dirigible?????

Dirigibles see link below.

We aussies are shameless imitators and couldn't have coped with NZ's having a bigger one than us :-)

oh Toph, that was tooooo funny. I like the way your mind works. Good thing I'd already swallowed my coffee or there would have been quite some mess all over this laptop as I sprayed it all over laughing......(yuk, that's an unappealing vision...)

I may glance nervously up into the sky when I leave this place, looking for attacking blimps and wishing I was safe from them in Aukland...
