40 minutes on the phone? In person? Do you feel like you are depending on her to the detriment of other relationships? Or that you are leaning on her to cope with issues you should cope with yourself?
I know a number of people who talk to a parent daily, so it's not abnormal to be in close touch with a parent. It's a problem, though, if she is your only real social/emotional contact.

there's nothing wrong with spending extra talk time your mom, but you have to get out in the world, yes my mother loves me but i really have a desire to find love in other places....new people, realize that i wnat to be told i'm loved in the world....
