Not babtized but for the most part believe in God

Posted by Lamdage22 on November 4, 2016, at 13:27:19

I just dont imagine god is something like a person. I am 100% sure that all this what we see and feel was created by "something". I do not believe its just a random thing that the universe exists or that nature is random. I think we have a creator.

Does that qualify me to get babtized?

I think "something" created us and the world and the universe and i think that this is what people call god. I dont think its a man with a big bushy beard. I hope you get what i mean.

Hmm. Being babtized may help me tap into the community a bit more.

What is the difference between catholic and protestant? Where do i fit?

anyone can be baptised through jesus christ, there's no qualification or entitilement, but you accept the holy spirit in your heart, and refuse to go the desires of sin.....i'm not a minister but i encourage you to get a KingJamesVersion of the bible, there's alot of out there, but i've always seen the king james version seem more direct and less word flattering......there's also the NIV version which was popular for a long time, but i stick with the King James Version. I can't give you divine words that your saved, but in your private time is when you pray, not pray out load and boast like the hypocrites do for social reconition

The new testement is where you will find jesus christ's teachings and parables. Still don't stop there, read google about christ, ask the holy spirit to help you discern to see false doctrines.

I'm glad your looking for the truth

sorry i'm finishing a sentence i didnt finsih, when you pray keep it discreet, and sincere with jesus christ, alot of these holy rollers will be as load as possible in frount of people in prayer, glory themselves in frount of people, it's like there selling their christain books on how to be saved, to gain profit through material gain.....

look for some churches where you can get baptised, and find people in a church you can get connected to and have fellowship

just follow the desire in your heart to find God, some people don't like having jesus christ attached to that.....and some it makes them angry when saying christ is god, but through my religious background and what i was taught is he's the son of god, and his spirit is the holy spirit which will come to you after you accept him

My main suggestion : find a church around where you live, anything, all denominations including catholic, protestant, Lutherans are considered christian, they just have slight different beliefs on issues, yet they all believe in god

Praying may be the most helpful thing I am doing. Its also a part of AA which is very successful.

I hate it when people act like psychiatry is their last hope. It kind of sickens me and that is why I sometimes lash out on the meds board. There is SO much more you can do. I am not saying don't take meds when you need them. What I am saying is that your efforts shouldn't end there. And maybe for mild to medium cases try joining Church, AA or (different kinds of) Psychotherapy first and get your nutrition and possibly supplements straight. If that doesn't help enough, try meds. I am talking mild to medium here. Not talking about 5150. 5150 should maybe do meds first and the other avenues after. But that is an immediate and acute threat to self or others.
