Despicable

This maltreatment, to tell people like me that there is something deeply wrong with how we think and that its all just our "disease".
Its like protecting evil from its antipole. Its a despicable practice..

Im not saying that the people who seek out mental health treatment dont need help, but they do not need brainwash at all.
Usually its the clash of people thant wants to change things for the better that seek treatment to be empowered to be able to positively affect themselves and their surroundings. And they are told there is nothing wrong with their environment and that they are sickos and below the surface they are told they disgrace to society. They need to be sedated, locked up and controlled. Thats so freakin ugly. Im ashamed for being a human being, just like they are. (not talking about the patients here).

I am appalled by peoples real face. Who is the disgrace to society, really?

Always useful to remember that 75 years ago, where currently you are, there were whole roomfulls of bureaucrats calmly planning the murder of around 40M people and the enslavement of as many again.

And where I currently am it was longer ago.

Then there was the arresting fact I read recently that just before Columbus the population of the Americas was 75M, though it could have been 85. And it was just progress.

the things is if you look at it, in the 1930's in psychiatric hospitals, I don't think they used what the do today, lock people up and let the doctors use the barbiturates to sedate them from being unstable....they didnt really offer counseling, even thought i don't like programs that use the term "we have a disease" and use similar terms....but it is sort of an improvement from the old system, and im sure it will change in coming decades....

i think they do it to try to improve life....but use this systematic therapy for lots of people....

yea....just my 2cents

THIS is why I want to see a family doctor. Look, I take Abilify+neurontin when I need to. I do orthomolecular. The real reason I was (and stayed) batsh!t was family and a crazy making community, plus questionable life choices.

There's not a whole lot meds can do, you know? Of course mental health people want to blame you, especially in the US (hyper-individualistic culture). You're supposed to make or break on your own merits. Of course, its BS, and of course, our society+economy are crumbling, but...who cares?

I've heard the European mental health is much kinder, gentler, much more focused on severe cases. Beats what I've been through all hollow, that's for sure...sounds like you've had a rough time of it, too.

Yes its a bit gentler overall but they keep you much longer. They definitely go easier on meds here. If thats an advantage? Not always, but most of the time id say.

I love how "positive thinking", applied the wrong way magically keeps blame away from anyone but yourself.. This sometimes pisses me off.
