continue exercise thread~~~ is 1 bull 1 mile?

Does this build self-esteem? I arrived at ranch at 1pm....No truck at house. Drove to barn, parked and got out. Took camera and climbed through barbed wire fence to get to the 7 horses..they breathed on me (love that) and I took photos of their eyes and their noses and their backs. We walked.

Left that pasture because I saw something white and gleaming about 1/4 mile away. Cow bones! I shifted through them and saw others. Climbed through another fence and looked at the new pile. All in all I found 7 piles. And about 25 skulls. I rever animal bones so it was almost like a church service for me. I imagined which had been whom? and had a little ceremony for them. (very old bones)

Now, for the really exciting part. A mom coyote went with me through all of the pastures. She walked or trotted about 100 yards from me. If I stopped so did she. She would also "gambol" through the grass and bushes and jump out as though we were playing a game. (I guess we were) occasionally she would get ahead of me or trail a little bit behind. We did three miles together. She was very plump and absolutely gorgeous. My favourite part was when she would sit on her haunches and turn her head side to side when I was talking to her.

When we got close to the barns, she trotted away and jumped a fence. I thought she was gone but she came back around an oil tank thing and sat and watched me go to the barn.

Then I saw Anne's truck in a very strange place and realized that she was at home and went to find her. She was sleeping.

Work! We worked every baby calf that is there first. ( She threw them and I sat on them and held them down..which was no small feat..there were a few "baby" accidents and I was covered by the time we finished the calves) Then we worked momas. (worming, blackleg vaccine, b12 shot and antibiotics)

We saved the biggest for the last. We did physicals on 9 herd bulls and gave them their full group of vaccinations. We worked up into the night.

Will sore legs, back and body add to myself-esteem?

that sounded really nice (except for the work part)...It made me imagine a nice place for a minute even though I'm having a bad day. Thank you

I wish I could just go play with animals all day

It was a wonderful day and even the work was special. I really love cattle so everything was very gentle and calming for them.

I'm glad that you got a lift out of the day. I also wish that you could play with animals all day but only if I could join you!

xoxo Pat
