Mouth movements

Posted by Markwell on February 20, 2021, at 18:43:08

I'm having difficulty with mouth movements. It's not td because I haven't taken an antipsychotics in close to 10 years. It's anxiety related. Is there a supplement or maybe an exercise that would help?

if its stress-related tics, then I would think (?) any number of preparations for anxiety would be helpful...passion flower, valerian, -maybe- kava kava, Suntheanine.

Orthomolecular is high dose vitamins, used to improve mood, anxiety, and overall health. The same protocols used for overall health, anxiety, etc. can help prevent or reduce EPS, TD, etc. (so say the 'experts,' anyway).

My personal Orthomolecular cocktail is: 4 grams vitamin C, 1 b-100, 2 grams B3 (in my case, niacinamide)...x3 daily, with food.

hope this helps. :-)

You might try doing these breathing exercises:

Or EFT Tapping:

I don't know what kind of trouble you mean, but people can sometimes have tension headaches and stiff necks and so on... That can be relieved with muscle massage to help soothe the muscles into relaxing. So the problems can be muscle cramping / spasms.

There are some strong muscles to work the jaw. Around the side of the head (the temporal region). And under / behind the ears. The top of the head, too, more to do with the forehead and eyes...

Likely you need to be relaxed to have proper control over movement. Like how boxers do a lot of jiggling and so on to limber up so they can move quickly. Your face muscles need to be resting relaxed so they can contract when you want them to and relax again instead of being cramped up all the time.

Just a thought.

A soft ball... A high bounce rubber ball. Can be nice for a gentle massage. Against a wall can be useful. Or a tennis ball.

Another thing you might try is using a weighted blanket while you sleep, or during the day when your symptoms are bothering you. This can have a calming effect. It's recommended that persons choose weighted blankets that weigh about 10 percent of their body weight. Cooling weighted blankets -- ones that breathe -- are made of cotton and filled with glass beads. Other cooling weighted blankets are made of bamboo or Tencel Lyocell fiber.
