dropped it for a while. decided to restart @ 4grams/daily, all at once, in the AM, with food.
I think...I didn't quite appreciate the wonders of B3 for agitation, obsessive "stuff," and...general well-being, basically. I'm calmer, but not sedated or even tranquilized, just....
better able to handle what comes my way, I guess. And the obsessive weirdness is less of a problem, too.
I should note that I do a complete Orthomolecular protocol. The OM people say one should consume -at least- as much C as B3 (whatever form), plus b-50 or b-100s per day. I take 2 b-100s (time release) daily, plus 12 grams vitamin C.
just thought I'd share. Niacinamide doses in OM usually max out around 6 grams/daily, because nausea becomes an issue above that level. I've never taken niacin. Flush free niacin (inositol hexanicotinate) didn't seem as effective as niacinamide.

Have you ever tried nicotinamide riboside?

i don't know anything about it, is basically what I'm saying, but I'm curious.

I thought you might have tried nicotinamide ribosice, since it's all the rage these days. It looks like it might have anti-aging effects. And it looks like it might be a good idea for all nursing mothers to take it.

I haven't tried it, no. I might? I use the B3 for anxiety and stress, plus its a standard part of Orthomolecular protocols.

Niacineamide makes me incredibly depressed after one week of taking.
This is the end of the thread.
