Huh... I didn't see any letters in it, I thought I saw two figures in robes of some sort, like a child's drawing of the nativity or something similar...

{shrug} I sure hope that doesn't somehow reflect our mental processes... Maybe this is a modern day Rorhshak? (sp)

I had actually thought that too. But then I took a closer look at the lettering and it looks like two r's to me. The shapes are too similar and the letter that would be a 't' in 'party' doesn't have that thing (or whatever the heck you call it!) sticking up to make it look like a cross.

He better tell us now! It's going to drive me batty if I don't find out. I just can't figure out for the life of me what the word would be with that festive background in blue, red, and yellow. Argh!!!!

Ok...time to go to bed or I'll end up staying up all night obsessing about this. :-P

I really think it's part of the word "merry" on a homemade Christmas sign-I think someone drew a string of lights going around

No--he's peeking in. The camera is in the box. Maybe that's where he keeps blocked posters.

I can't believe some users can get so angsty over a simple photo, just don't look at it if it bothers you that much, I don't even notice it most the time unless someone comments about it, then I look at it to see what they were talking about

hi barosky,
please be gentle with us! :) I might have thought that too, before I started posting frequently. But I think for those of us who DO post a lot, we feel that we "know" Dr. Bob, or at least become familiar with the pictures he posts. And it's just a lot of fun for us to comment on the pictures, which he does change from time to time. It might seem silly to an outsider, but we're sort of a big babble "family" here, in a way, and we're all very attuned to small changes in the boards and pictures, and we like to comment on it.

I think that if you stick around longer, you might become more attached to people and more interested in the pictures, too. It seems that you're new here, right? Please try to look at us all with an open mind & be kind to us. We have a lot of fun here.

Barosky, whenever I click on this site, the photo is there, and the one before this one looked like a twisted person. For one I didn't like it because it was super creepy. For two, I found it disconcerting that Bob would choose to post such a disturbing photo of himself.

We're all pretty introspective here, and also find it helpful to talk about everything we feel like talking about. I like it.

That reminds me of something some newspaper columnist wrote, probably twenty years ago, about his mother calling him now and again to tell him he "looked a bit pale this morning..." -- not quite getting it that it was always the same picture, but some days the ink was a bit off...

Just another example of the twisted workings of my mind, I guess, but you're right: it's easy, and kinda fun to notice the pictures.

Hm.... I notice no one objected when we were all commenting on the pictures from the Chicago skyline a while back. Then it was all about the composition, etc. Wonder what that means...

Finally!!!! At least I was right about the "__rry" part. :-D I figured it wasn't "Merry" based on the colors and design. but I never would have guessed "Harry". Now I'm curious as to what the whole sign read. I could sure think of some funny signs that start off with the word "Harry". hehehe

But I'm glad that mystery is finally solved. Everyone has to admit it was at least fun to try and figure out the hidden message. Dr. B should do more of those. :-)

Other than watching the movies when they come out, I don't know much about Harry Potter. I definitely don't know from sight the font that is used. I'll have to go look at the Harry Potter book at Amazon or something to see the font. You guys could be right!

Yup. Good eye!

Covers of the books, too, I think, although I don't own any.... "my" copies reside at the public library... ;-)
