Lou's request to whatever

Posted by barosky on July 21, 2005, at 11:12:05

Are you just an ordinary user who just strives off analyzing every word that is posted on this site to ensure that it has not violated a very broad and scrutinous, posting policy. If something has not directly offended you or has caused you distress why do you inssist on being a back seat moderator, just leave all the rule enforcing up to the people designated to that position. I don't understand why you devote your time to something so pointless and why you care in the first place. Your just making enemies.

Friends,
It is written here,[...leave all the rule enforcing up to the people designated...your time to something so {pointless}...you're just making enemies...]].
I am requesting that if you are going to reply to this thread that you consider the following by asking yourself:
A, Does Lou {enforce} rules here?
B. Who is the one to make the determination as to if my time spent here is pointless? How could this dertemination be made?
C. Are there people here that are really my {enemy}? If so, how could this be determined as to if someone here is my enemy or my friend?
Lou

By response. Lou although we may disagree at times I certainly don't consider you my enemy. I know in my heart that you are a compassionate man who just doesn't want yourself or anyone else to be hurt. You came to my defense once and I want to thank-you for that. Fondly, Phillipa

I don't know you at all Lou, but after reading your posts for some time I think I really like you. You're so....I don't know...diplomatic?

Dear friends, I am proposing that I will write in a way so as to attract the attention of as many people as possable, while remaining seemingly, and effortlessly "uninvolved" emotionally in the matter.

I am asking the above, unmentioned poster(s) if he/she thinks that it is necessray to write in such a form.

I am requesting, (although its really not my buisness to tell people how to write) that people who {write} on this {board} do the following.

A] Refrain from using letters to enumerate every
single point

b] Refrain from talking in such a way that
is condescending, and who's sole purpose
is to make one seem smarter than the rest.

c] Refrain from analyizing everything that people
say, but instead take it for what it is, so
as not to annoy people with nitty gritty
nonsense.

d] Refrain from talking like a spiritual leader

Please don't be sarcastic or post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

What do you get out of reporting possible violations, , why do you proclaim it as your duty to report violations that are in the GREY area, if the violation is so egnigmatic that it needs to be *reviewed* why don't you just forget about it, it seems you just go out of your way to incriminate others. Like your last post

{Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you write a determination as to if the following is acceptable or not in relation to the guidlines of the forum.
In particular, but not limited to, the poster writes,[...my therapist says...it is farsophilia...].
Lou Pilder }

Why don;t you chill out, it seems your only drive in this forum is to report other users. How is the above a violation anyway

Welcome to Babble,
I am again asking that you refrain from posting anything which might lead others to feel put down. Please take a moment to review the civility guidelines as I've linked below. This site is for support and education.

If you have further questions about, please feel free to contact me via Babblemail or to post your question on the Admin board. Some posters find it helpful to use a "civility buddy" until they get used to the rules of this forum.

Lou,

Actually I'm afraid of posting anything on the admin board. But after reading several of your posts I want to make this comment.

Sometimes I find your posts difficult to comprehend because they are made in the third person syle, rather than speaking (first person) directly to the person with which you may have a question or issue. I get confused sometimes.

warm regards, ~Jake

LOL, I admit the subject line did get my attention!

Yes, as far as I remember, we can do that. Of course we need to be civil while doing so, which is why I tend to model my requests for civility after Dr. Bob's.
