Vtamin B6 for anxiety/panic..+Mag+Calcium

Posted by jay2112 on December 14, 2021, at 17:21:42

Well, as add-ons, I am investigating vitamin B6 for general anxiety/agoraphobia and panic. SRI's are way too strong for me. Plus, I have found some possible help with magnesium and calcium combination. (Magnesium WITHOUT calcium actually depresses me.)

Also, anyone have experience with exposure therapy? I have read this is excellent for anxiety and agoraphobia, or almost any phobia. The thing with me, is, when the sun goes down, I need to be cozy in my little apartment.

Trying to carry on, fellow travellers...

Jay

I found that a single mega-dose of calcium exacerbated my depressive state within 30 minutes of taking it. In the most primative of conceptualizations, Mg+ and Ca2+ are opposites. Calcium entry into the presynaptic neuron is the trigger for the release of neurotransmitters from the synaptic vesicles. However, magnesium suppresses the release of neurotransmitters, as well as antagonizes excitatory NMDA glutamate receptors. Here, I think we are talking about glutamate primarily.

Again, primative:

High glutamate activity = mania and schizophrenia

Low glutamate activity = depression.

How curious are our differences.

Yeah, that is strange...I am, indeed, an anomaly!! lol. See, I found my depressive states can be just soul-breaking. I also react very strangely to almost every substance. Amphetamine chills me...I don't know! I think my depression likes a little bit of glutamine stimulation. Magnesium alsone depresses the hell out of me! I think the two balance each other out.

But, that is just me...the anomaly... :)

I get weird reactions to stuff, too. I think the anomalies are more normal than many think.

I like P5P, which is an activated form of B6.
