I've been using 1 mg abilify for 3 days now. I can't sleep at all. Can someone suggest a strong medication for sleep

>You might try cyproheptadine (Periactin). If that fails, maybe zolpidem (Ambien). If that fails, midazolam (Dormicum) or triazolam (Halcion).
If you have trouble *staying* asleep, you might try good old diazepam (Valium) instead of midazolam or triazolam, or combine it with one of the latter two.
Sometimes melatonin can help. However, I read that it has a therapeutic window, so that higher doses can be less effective. I don't recall the details.

ask your doctor about klonopin, if you want to be put out, klonopin. People on this board in the past, posted they took klonopin 4mg and it ... yes got them to sleep.
But you'll have to work with your doctor, klonopin is potent may have a bad opinion about it. Ask your doctor

i've taken klonopin and yes it does put you out, not like midazolam but it's more potent than other benzo's. I used to take 2mg's at bedtime, it gets subject you to sleep. The only thing with klono is the depression it can cause, but if your taking it at night, that will not be a problem. People taking klonopin during the day, it can cause depression, and feeling zoned out on cloud 9. Just ask your doctor, mention to him heard klonopin is good for sleep

Maybe your doctor thinks (possibly rightly so) that the insomnia is not worth it.
