Lurasidone (Latuda)

Posted by undopaminergic on January 29, 2021, at 3:25:32

We substituted lurasidone (Latuda) 37 mg for cariprazine (Reagila) 1.5 mg this morning.

Any experiences with lurasidone?

I haven't felt much of it. Possibly some slight excitement or butterflies in the stomach.

my doctor suggested latuda....i know alot of people on latuda they doing great, but i've never taken it. I read it has really good response rates. But that's all i have to say. Zyprexa came out i think in 1996? (could be wrong) but it was marketed heavilty but found excessive sedation with it

Now taking 74 mg of the lurasidone. I'm inclined to say "no effect" but there seems to be an inkling of something and I can't rule out that it's the drug.

I found myself singing during a walk today. I think maybe the drug is working a bit. On the other hand, I've been troubled by impatience in the past few days.

So difficult to tell sometimes. APs can be activating, hence the impatience?

Ah, I didn't think of that. I think that might be it. It is more activating than sedative at least.

I read some reports from other people; one of them said it knocked him out and another said he got euphoric.

One reason I wanted to try it was that it is approved for bipolar *depression*.

No crystal balls. Latuda is worth a try. There are a lot of reports of success with bipolar depression.

Thanks for your input. Are there any of these reports you think are particularly worth reading?

I can't remember from where my positive impressions of lurasodone came from. It wasn't from reading, though.

This should keep you busy for awhile. Please let me know what impressions you are left with.
