Glaucoma

Has anyone experienced glaucoma or increased ocular pressure from their meds?

My eye pressure is slightly higher than normal, and I'm wondering if it could be from my meds.

I'm currently on sertraline, fluphentixol, and atomoxetine.

In addition, I also take rosuvastatin for moderately high cholesterol, and levothyroxine and liothyronine due to not having a thyroid gland.

On a related note, it concerns me that I'm on six meds that all increase the likelihood of getting diabetes.

If you have narrow angles (too narrow and you get angle-closure glaucoma), then medications that dilate your pupils (eg. sertraline and atomoxetine) will increase intraocular pressure.

The other type of glaucoma is called open-angle glaucoma, and is not sensitive to pupil size. I don't know what kind of medications, if any, that interact with this condition.

Have you measured your blood sugar?
sometimes if its borderline you can get it back down a little with supplements like cinnamon and chromium picolinate.
pre-diabetic blood sugar can raise your blood pressure too as a secondary effect. not sure how this works Ive seen it happen with meds Im on.
You could always ask your doctor about metformin. Pretty common for people on APs to need some help with sugar control.
I never had issues with with on sertraline or atomoxetine personally but everyone is different on these drugs.
