There is an 'interesting' book called "Heroin from A to Z: How to Stop Time". I came across this book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/How-Stop-Time-Heroin-Z/dp/0385720165
Anybody read it?? Or something similar?

Many great musicians died because of Heroin.

A substance of variable and uneven quality is difficult to dose. If heroin of consistent purity had been legally available to them, they probably wouldn't have overdosed.

IIRC the book is neither really good nor bad.
Heroin is one of the pantheon of demons we will not live without.

>That is a great point, undopaminergic! In Toronto, they have been giving out prescription grade heroin. There are no 'official' statistics, but the University of Toronto figured the prescript grade possibly saved as much as 25 percent of lives, if not much more. I was just reading about this in my text.. "Fundamentals of Addiction" published by the Canadian Center for Addictions and Mental Health. I, as a student and practitioner, want to push the boundaries, the artificial ones made up, usually by the conservative media, as absolute far as can go. The country of Portugal has made EVERY SINGLE DRUG LEGAL, and usage rates have gone down; drug-related crime has almost diminished....so, that SAY'S SOMETHING...WoW..

I didn't know. Thanks for sharing. It is not exactly legal, but it is not that big of a deal if you are caught with quantities for personal use. I don't use any of them, but I am still for legalizing.

It does, but what? That some of us are happy with things just as they are? Tough on drugs, been hearing it forever.

>Hey, not a single problem Lamdage22!! Most people don't realize the connection, and yes, some people are playing fire with heavy-duty narcotics, and should never even think of trying them. Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd is a good example of that. Part of his mind was trashed due to very, very heavy LSD use.
But, my main point was that some of these drugs have potential in psychiatry. Look at the development of ketamine, now FDA approved for depression. But, yes, we should be mindful, for sure.

I really cannot see why it should be so difficult unless we need mass suffering to feel better. And that is my belief, not that it works for me.

Do they really need to write a book about that? It is easy, do it a couple of times and chances are you won't stop any time soon.
This is the end of the thread.
