Strange fx....answers???

Posted by jay2112 on December 1, 2020, at 12:51:39

Well, I have now tried both Suboxone and Methadone for about a month each. I tried them to kick a Tylenol3 habit. I seem to have a *really* hard time tolerating these meds! They both seem to depress me, as well as make anxiety worse (the depression I get...these are depressants..as all opioids....but the anxiety is crazy!!) I have also used oxy, percs, and such, with good effect. So, I now reserve those few for REALLY bad anxiety and depression, and am abandoning Suboxone and Methadone. I also have a naloxone kit, just in case. They should be mandatory.

DEA or FDA moved hydrocodone from controlled IV substance to II substance, due to abuse. In US most of all opiates now are scedule II, or III.

Sorry about methadone not working, your body soaks up opiates, so sometimes in an event, of removing them its painful. Methadone i heard makes you sleepy, and provides (not the actual good feeling) but a similar opiate sensation

That's weird. In my experience, opioids are the best class of medications against anxiety.

They may technically be depressants, but that is not in the sense of (clinical) depression, but it refers to their calming effect on the central nervous system. Indeed, opioids often induce euphoria, or in other words, the opposite of depression.

Yeah, these are heavily controlled drugs here in Canada too. But, they are so easily bought on the 'black market'...and a dealer lives just next door to me :(

Yes, I do agree...all of them except methadone and Suboxone quell anxiety greatly, for me. I don't know....it could be a dosage thing, or something else.

jay have you thought about nalrexone? naltrexone blocks opiate cravings, or the effect. Even, my pevious doctor is addiction specilist so she deals with suboxonee and all hat stuff, and even as previous addict, i would just not take nalrexone so it wouldnt block the effect, but maybe disapline? telling yourself it's maybe not the best for you, i know morphine are defeintly feel good, antidepressants with wonderful feeling. Maybe stay on methadone and increase the dose?

messy post

consider 2 things
1. Naltrexone
2. Increasing methadone dose
3. Disapline or re-doing mindset to not do anymore

when they took me off adderalll and dexedrine, i was on it at least 3 phases, first 2005, then 2008, then 2010. After it was gone they put me on bipolar medications signifiantly, lamictal in someway does control hyperactive nuerons, also gabapentin, but it makes feel kinda 'zoned' but im still able to do things. I was never diagnosed with bipolar disorder, ever, but i take high doses of bipolar medication in fix of not being treated for the ADHD. I take 20mg olanzpine, 400 lamotragine, 80mg prozac, we were gonna add lithium but it was decide not too at the time.

So, i think it, instead of having a replacement for adderall, i was put on bipolar meds, which somewhat helped the over active nuerons, but like i said sometimes i feel 'zoned'

stay on track maybe increase your methadone, do disapline to stay away from street opiates

gabapentin is good for anxiety and sting feeling i've been rwally difficult time with all this sting feeling anxiety, need to adjustmeds anyways... its not what makes me zoned.... its mainly lamictal and olanzpine but i have to take them to keep stable

1. hang in there
2. increase methadone if you can
3. avoid oxys because you keep having to have it
4. Naltraxone look into to stop opiate need
