question about gapapintin

Posted by rjlockhart37 on November 6, 2020, at 17:26:18

i've been on it for a while, taken off diazepam, and then put on nuerontin, sucks i did some research that actually it doesnt effect GABA at all, it works, i don't know too much explain. I take 800mg and yes, notice a difference but it's not like it used to be. Sometimes it makes amotivational and i don't feel any GABA effect, but i can tell the anti-convultant effect or feeling. I've been on the net, lost energy to freely research. But that's not because of it, but it's sedation causes me to slow down, but it's not like a GABA feeling. I much want to be on lyrica than nuerontin.

Does anyone know why, it causes some sedation, but doenst feel gaba like

it feels like a anti-convultant sedation, lamotragine also when higher doses like 600 can cause minor impairment

Sedation *is* a GABA effect. That's why benzodiazepines and barbiturates are used to treat insomnia.

Does Gabapentin take some time to work? I always looked for an immediate effect and never got one.

it does, but read articles saying it's less direct than lyrica. But gabapentin does work immidiate, but i don't know....takes a bit time rid anxiety. But it's good, i was taken diazepam which really bad, so was put on nuerontin, it somewhat resembles a relief, just not sedation like a benzo
