gaba depletion - damage

Posted by rjlockhart37 on July 27, 2020, at 13:25:24

i posted this before, i've been taking diazepam for anxiety, part of it helps, then i have to take GABA supplement to help it work. It feels like their damaged or something. I take a diazepam, and feel no anxiety relief, actually like a pain in my brain. Not sure if its sore gaba sites, or tolerance. This is not a good time for me

It could be tolerance. I doubt its damage.

Do you notice withdrawal if you reduce the dose of valium?

link, doctor has me on 12.5mg a daily. Other gaba meds, could cause this. Right now, im fine, i think your right its tolerance. Stopping other gaba supplements and meds would reduce. But if i don't take gaba supplement, at least 1000mg [2 capsules] the diazepam does not hardly have effect. So, i've had to rely on that.

You could try adding some magnesium. This can enhance the effect of diazepam and possibly reduce tolerance.

yes you right, magnesium does help the tolerance, it will bring back down to earth. I think taking phenibut all these years [which was a godsend] because my doxtor was ignoring my anxiety repoets, saying coping skills. But higher phenibut, it takes away anxiety not quite like a benzo, but if you stop abrumpty taking it ad moderate to high dose, withdrawls major, had to bring the gaba levels back down. Put me on low dose diazepam, but honestly i have to take phenibut sometimes because diazepam's dose is not working. I live with someone even though im adult, interferes with everything. Same situation i was in 2005, but i'm more matured. Know how to network out online. Be a part of history, or a movement and jump out.

But ... 10mg diazepam, its calming but still even that the gaba levels are tolerant. Gaba supplement is only thing medically i can do, even if went to psych hospital, if i didnt have gaba supplement, even high dose of sedates would be difficult because of tolerance of gaba levels

You might try adding a bit of melatonin once or twice a week. This can help tolerance too. I only try and use gaba a few times a week as it leaves me feeling a bit yukky the next day. Other supplements for sleep include:

- gaba
- magnesium
- melatonin
- chamomile
- cbd
- valerian
- kava

You may also need to take a break from the armodafinil a few times a week. This could be keeping you up. Don't be afraid to skip a dose once or twice a week to see if you sleep better.
