Abilify masking mirapex effects?

Posted by rovers95 on June 5, 2020, at 17:52:24

Hi

I've been going okay on mirapex (2mg) for bipolar depression. Apart from poorer sleep I didn't seem to get any side effects.

Until I've gone off abilify (was on 2.5mg) this last week and I'm having horrible nausea every time I take the mirapex. Also it seems to have become a lot more effective. Is it possible Abilify could have counteracted the mirapex?

Yes, at least with higher doses of Abilify. The two have opposing mechanisms of action.
