Switch to straterra

Posted by linkadge on May 25, 2020, at 10:08:15

I'm seeing if my doctor will allow me to switch from Ritalin to straterra. Ritalin is working but it seems to be a bit harsh for me at the moment. I had some left over straterra which I have been taking for the past few days. It seems to provide a bit more evenness in mood.

Strangely, you'd think I could just increase the Effexor (to get more norepinephrine action), but serotonin has not been my friend lately.

Good luck!

And by the way, it is Strattera, not Straterra.

I started with a first trial of Strattera (technically, a generic version of it) a week ago.

So far, I've not noticed any spectacular improvements, but I realise that it takes weeks to see results on it.

Thanks.

Sure...it's either ADHD or I don't care (I'm leaning a bit more towards the latter) - no offence.

I've heard it can take a while to work. In the past I responded fairly quickly (within 2 weeks).

strattera makes more attentive, helps cogntive function with norepheprhine mechanism. i took it in high school and noticed i became more alert, attentive, while they were doing lectures.
