It feels psychodynamic in nature, but I don't think it would have happened so fast without the trimipramine (Surmontil). I think the drug may have facilitated psychological changes. I have achieved positive thinking, and often think to myself that things are good now, or that things are going my way.

This is really cool. Good to hear.

So they might shut everything down on Saturday. People are too stupid. They get close to you and corner you in on a wall... Young people make Corona parties.

What is a cull of the boomers? Im not a native speaker.

I really liked low dose trimipramine, for sleep really.

Yeah well, that wasn't very helpful of me.

The year started out with many many people seeking refuge on the beaches from the fires after 30 years of dangerous politics, with a completely inadequate response, and now this, showing the shortcomings of quite a few things (economics, politics, people).

My son is careful to remind me that's not as simple as that. I am, of course, a boomer.

Strange, there being nothing in the shops at home.

It didn't help me unfortunately. Low dose.

You discontinued?

Boomer is the name for the generation born after the war through 1960.

It stopped being available in Australia.

Much better than the antihistamine tricyclics.

The situation in South America sounds really drastic. But they have reason, given their health services.

What a world we or whoever have made for ourselves.

The fires were intensely traumatic if or when you knew what they meant. Half of the remaining ancient forests gone in a month or so. A permanent and irremediable loss, the wonder of Australia. You can imagine how inadequate was the political response, none could have been adequate of course. Just a few months ago.

And there may well be a connection here. We are a lot of infectectable meat moving into other habitats. We and our dependant animals are 90% of mammals or something.

They said when it comes to fire Australia would be the first. You unfortunately are high on the list. 10 more years and it's the Amazon tipping point. Meanwhile the politics is purposively disorienting. No reason to feel good about it at all.

Ah, I see. So they may put us on lockdown. I wonder if I can still obtain my supplements. I hold the opinion, that a large part of my recent improvement is due to supplements. I wonder if they will allow me to get them either online or at the pharmacy.

I'm not scared of the lockdown, I am scared that I cant obtain the many supplements i rely on to feel OK.

Hmm. Tough times. We can still go for walks and we can still go to doctors and pharmacies. I am just not used to showing ID and being questioned about why I am outside.

How are your governments handling it? I hear Cali is on lockdown? For how long do you think countries will do this?

Maybe we all felt a little too secure these past 80 years!

I heard something about a few weeks, maybe? In Argentina someone was questioned by police as to why she was using a shop. In those countries, the shelves are empty, certainly in places. The shops I have seen in Japan are completely normal, but quiet.

It must be like money, a matter of confidence and trust. For which leadership is important. Australians learned in the fires that they could not rely on the government to protect them. Maybe that explains it?

I get alot of help from older people. My Psychologist that I started going to and my Tutor that helps me understand my study materials. Also, my father is 81. He has 10 or more good years ahead of him. My mom at 73. I pray they will all be ok. Right now we talk online only for given reasons. The psychologist can't help me anymore if he is dead!

My mom thinks that there was no Corona Virus. It was just a way of the Goverment to make war on residents. I hope that she doesn't act on these beliefs. Otherwise they may bring her somewhere. But yeah, she desperately needs some treatment although she doesn't see it that way.

She thinks she is enlightened and her intuition is impeccable. Or so it seems. She hears a video with fake news and then calls me to tell me her "divine message". It bothers me a lot. I find it a bit crazy.

I'm in Japan. We get the last plane back on Monday. I was kind of hoping to be shut out and spend a few months in the Japanese highlands, but in winter.

No, I'm not infected AFAIK. I'm almost 70 and I don't worry one way or the other too much.

Social isolation? Been doing it for years.

I think Colombia is the smartest of all. They lock down old and sick people and let the others get Corona until they are immune. Then the old people are safe to go out again.

It's smarter than locking everything down. The economy in Colombia will be better of than anyone elses.

But trimipramine (Surmontil) *is* an antihistamine tricyclic.

That's why it is used for insomnia. I use it for depression, and for this purpose, antihistamine action means side effects, although it is useful for concomitant insomnia.

We are in this resort up in the mountains, and just managed to get the last plane back before the borders shut. I always wanted to read 'The magic Mountain, and guess I never will. Or it feels like Walter Benjamin trying to get over the border to Spain and failing, takes morphine and dies.

So interesting to see the countries of the world cooperating in a matter of weeks. Someone told them something very persuasive. Normally no one ever agrees on anything. These people who told them, some kind of modellers?

I've come to appreciate the natural environment in Australia. I live in the country. My habitual depression only lifts when I leave. Maybe I can do lots of gardening? Normally I just read. I've been doing social isolation for decades there.

Yeah, nature is very therapeutic. Social isolation: I haven't been doing it consciously, but social anxiety takes care of that.

> So interesting to see the countries of the world cooperating in a matter of weeks.

That's how come I'm thinking it is part of a global shift in economic policy. The co-operation was in place before the crisis. The NZ government has been saying less retarded things than usual, too, which suggests that we are getting competent extra help from overseas.

The public library and university lectures have just stopped here. Because it comes here last, you know. We have only just had first cases of community transmission.

The (non-corona virus) flu injection has been marketed as being made available 'early' this year. By which they mean 2 weeks earlier than usual for health professionals only and 2 weeks later than usual for everyone else.

So it's being delayed, this year, in other words.

I think the US had the right idea (China too) with setting up temporary hospitals / tents. You want to keep Coronavirus out of the hospitals.

Not here. District Health Boards only seem to look for reasons to close them.

GPs can do everything. Visit the morgue, deliver a baby, abort a fetus day before birth, offer pre-natal care, treat infectious disease, monitor old people's blood pressure.

Sigh.

I wonder what the rebuild will look like?

I don't think this was intentionally inflicted... But I do think that people certainly saw it coming. And the response is very co-ordinated. United Front. From the different global leaders on the world stage.
