How is everyone holding up with Corona?

Posted by Lamdage22 on March 17, 2020, at 10:57:55

I'm not exactly having a blast. For a few days i felt not so bothered, but now I am anticipating a lot of isolation for a long time. I was already isolated before the virus.

It has become quiet here, too. This situation must be especially tough on people who are already struggling. For me, it is.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit bored. I'm going to be off work for a few weeks at least (in Canada). That's my social contact. It could be a bit hard. You can only watch the news so long before it gets boring.

A lot is closed in my area of Canada. I can't even go to the library. I can do some reading and perhaps Netflix. Hopefully I don't start using more pot to pass the time :)

I miss the times when i tolerated pot. I had something like a Schizophrenic episode last time: Two years ago. There are not many posters here right now.

Is there anywhere you can walk? Im taking my dog for long walks at the park. There are ppl around with their pets, kids, etc. it makes me feel better about being isolated. Just a thought.

Ive been having trouble reading lately (staying focused). So I picked up an easy read suspense novel and read it in one day. A nice escape and distraction. Now its Netflix. Also feeling guilty Im not getting anything done, especially with all this time on my hands.

Yeah, I live next to the woods. Yesterday I went for a one hour walk. Also I am studying at home and playing video games. Not much else to do. Weightlifting has come to a halt because of a small but uncomfortable injury. It may be another week before I can work out again. My hope is that higher temperatures will lead to less Corona infections.

normalisation, maybe. i feel like other people are now being required to live the way I had to live before.

i was locked out before. now everyone is locked out.

before people never understood why i diffused into an environment instead of clumping. why i hit the crosswalk signal with my foot or my elbow.

we haven't closed our public institutions, yet. libraries and univerities are still open.

but i guess that's next.

Yeah, it's strange. I've sent some friends emails and haven't heard back. Usually they get back to me ASAP. Strange...people shouldn't be "too busy".

I was trying to look at the bright side: Time, Walks in the Woods, self reflection.... but it is increasingly difficult to do that..

I'm having a pretty good time. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I feel I don't have a "mood" disorder any more. It feels psychodynamic in nature, but I don't think it would have happened so fast without the trimipramine (Surmontil). I think the drug may have facilitated psychological changes. I have achieved positive thinking, and often think to myself that things are good now, or that things are going my way.

I still have residual symptoms in the form of apathy and cognitive impairment. The apathy bothers me more than the mood did.

Would you guys go to accupuncture? It does seem to help depression, but Corona does not.

I will have to do Psychotherapy online is what I meant. What is psychodynamic change through a med? the drug helped you process stuff? Maybe you did that by yourself? I was having an ok time until yesterday.

Right. Where can you find such a service? At an affordable price?

Something like that yes. I feel it made psychodynamic change happen faster. My feeling better/worse had no temporal relationship with when I took a dose of the drug. However, the progress happened with a dose of 100 mg, but not with 50 mg. I also noticed some positive developments with only 25 mg, whereas nothing in interesting seemed to happen with 50 mg.

its a bit tough right now, we're having to stay home or not get near too many crowds because the virus is spreading. I've never seen like this before, this is definitely a history event, but anyways, for now most restaurants are closed, were i live, some are open, but have certain hours, and many business, small business are gonna have a hard time. It's a global pandemic, not sure when the vaccine will be ready, but definitely don't this lightly. Maybe in other countries where its not effected, they don't even know whats going on. I don't know from this point if it will get worse, or a vaccine will be found, hopefully for the best. i heard about it a long time ago, but i never thought it would enter into the US and spread this quickly, i thought it was gonna be ebola virus incident, which was contained. This is global pandemic. I just hope make it through this and the economy would not be hurt anymore. I don't even know what to do, even after itts over, i have no idea where my life is gonna go. Work i've done online, projects and giving advice and insight. But that's not a career or money income. At least it could be reached and be benefiting to people. Anyways, let's just hope the vaccine will come soon, and the worst with martial law being indicated. We just have to follow the guidelines we are told until this is over.

oh no no....its real, we've had deaths in the US and total deaths right now global are 9,855 people. Right now there 13, 060 people in the US with it. Alot of people have said its just a form of a bad flu, it was told for a long time, but deaths and quarantine camps have been set up. I don't know where you are right now, but this website will give exact details about the virus outbreak.

everytime i turn on the news, someone in my area has a new case, they have shut down business, schools, in the US. That is the first time in history we have ever done this. I thought it was gonna be a ebola virus incident and be contained, no it exploded in infections around the country. But on the good side, there alot of people who have recovered from it.

The virus holds the mirror up to us. No food or much at all in Australian shops. In Japan everything is normal but quiet. I heard about one man in a garage with 17,000 bottles of hand sanitiser. We were told that there was no such thing as society. Well! I don't care about my safety, though I look after it. I wouldn't mind a cull of the boomers.

My hunch is people are preoccupied.

We have a mandatory statewide 'shelter in place' order.

Tonight I took some Aleve for some wicked aches. (I have fibromyalgia.) That was before realizing I'm running a temp :/
