Hey Everyone,
I am back, still on my quest to get off Nardil. I had posted a few times about if anyone had taken a lower stress job and found their depression improved. Actually three psychiatrists I had posed this question to said they did know if it would help. I resigned recently and now am out of a very taxing job. So I guess Im taking the big risk and will see how the next month goes unemployed. Depression, anxiety please go anyway!

Do let us know how it goes. Of course, we're all supporting you.
I wish I had the guts to do the same!!
My clinical depression has worsened dramatically over the past year. Our government is cutting positions in my field. Even if I survive the cuts, I don't enjoy the job. It is tremendously stressful (60-80 hour weeks). As a temp, I have ZERO benefits, ZERO sick days (despite full time work for a decade). I make <$50K (Canadian) and the hate from the public (who has no clue of the demands of the job) is tremendous.
Perhaps being cut will be a blessing!!

Have you ever tried a 'maintenance' dose of an MAOI. I remember reading some of the old literature which suggested that 15mg of Nardil could (for some patients) be used as a maintenance dose to prevent relapse.
