trazodone 150mg + 10mg lexapro - extreme fatiguq

Posted by TriedEveryMedication on October 16, 2019, at 17:31:29

Was wondering if one or the combo of these could cause extreme fatigue.

I take the trazodone at night for insomnia 150-200mg

lexapro in the morning, 10mg

all blood work looks good.

The fatigue I get is like a heavy mental fatigue like I've been placed on some heavy tranquiliers . It's so much effort to do anything, like get out of bed, wash myself, much less drag my *ss to work.

I tried provigil to counter act it a couple times. 200mg does nothing. 300mg does nothing. 400mg perks me up little.

I'm thinking it must be the trazodone causing this fatigue

that is defiently because of trazadone, i've been on it, and it is...antidepressant but it is so sedating they use it mainly for sleep. THere is a form of trazadone that is a extended release that works during the day, but i don't see how someone could tolerate the ssedation, maybe for severe anxiety trazadone during the day would help.

Lexepro is potent SSRI so definently there is some bumped up serotonin levels. I take nuvigil, but i've taken it so long that i kinda got used to the effects, provigil is more perky and makes you talk more, nuvigil more mental focus and alertness

maybe ask your doctor for a add on, like bupropion or something. Trazadone is very sedating, they use it in rehabs and some hospitals for sleep, due to it's low to almost zero abuse/addiction potential

Oleptro is the extended release trazadone that lats through thd day, it does ... it is an antidepressant, it's serotonin reptake but also inhibits some release of seortonin. I don't really know what advice to give, but im thinking it's the trazadone that's causing low energy, ... but it could just be lexepro and need an add on stimulanting AD

I take my Trazodone at 8pm. If I take it any later, I'm still zonked the next a.m. when the kids get up. Which I can tell you, is not an entertaining situation to be in...
