i started taking the mirapex 3 days ago.......since then i have slipped into the most severe suicidal depression i have ever been in - is it the mirapex, i cannot find any examples of such a reaction on the internet?? 1 minute il feel ok and the next minute ill feel terrible - i cant sleep either!!
The thing is im sure my problem is dopamine and glutamate as i suffer from anorgasmia, apathy etc.
I just feel dizzy and out of it.Has anyone heard of such cases?? gona try and get back 2 sleep now, but if i dont feel better 2moro im going 2 hospital - dont want 2 harm myself.

Actually, in the last day i have take nytol for the mirapex induced insomnia and amoxicillin for a sinus infection...any links here?!

> markThe last time I took amoxicillin, I felt more depressed and my pdoc said that sometimes antibiotics can make people feel more depressed. You may not be able to tell whether it's the Mirapex until you're done with the amoxicillin. Can you hold off on the Nytol?

> markYup, big link. It's the amoxicillin. Antibiotics are known for many depression worse.
Maybe you could take something else for the insomnia like Benadryl?
I was on Mirapex and it just made me really nauseous. It's only touching the dopamine so it shouldn't make you suicidal ... but everyone is different. You might even want to stop the Mirapex until you have finished your course of antibiotics.
Feel better soon. If the suicidal thoughts get worse, please call someone.
