Zoloft - Lexapro combination ( PLEASE HELP )

Posted by Kristen_03 on November 26, 2003, at 8:22:25

I was just wondering If anyone has taken or heard of taking Lexapro along with Zoloft. Is this possible? I have read on the board about ones taking different combinations.Am just curious if anyones has used this combination.I have been on % mgs of Lexapro for a week, was on Zoloft prior, which worked well but had bad sexual Se..thats the reason for the change.Feel that the zoloft level is pretty much gone now from my system.Im stsrting to have a lot of anxiety and woke up crying this am...This really sucks..I get so tired of feeling this way.I have 6 kids who need me to be a Mom,but feel like im just more of a friggin burden to them than anything else...Any info about taking the lexapro with zoloft too would be greatly appriciated...

Kris, Zoloft and lexapro are both the same type of antidepressant. They work on the brain by the same mechanism, however, the results vary from person to person. You shouldn't mix the two. You should call your pDoc.
