Feeling a bit mellow tonight, so dropped by to see if anyone still pops in here. Thinking of Fineline Bob, Noa and others xx

I'm peeking in. It's good to see folks. Are you feeling mellow as in depressed, or just mellow?

I'm here trying to remind myself of lessons I learned before - such as, if life just seems too hard day after day, it could be that I need a med change, and it's not me not trying hard enough. Is it just me, or does it seem somehow LESS acceptable than it was in 2000 to be on meds?

For awhile, there was a major backlash against the use of psychotropic medications and the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture them. That seems to have abated somewhat. More recently, I see an increase in the stigma of having a mental illness. Mental illness and its treatment has once again become the butt of jokes. It is popular to use the term "bipolar" to dismiss people as being incompetent and unreliable. They are to be treated delicately, or else they might be triggered to commit mass murders.

This is frightening.

Hi, all. I rarely come to PB but just posted a med question on the main page, and thought I'd check this page, too. Good to see you all. I don't think about it often, but my connections on PB back then were such a lifeline for me...really got me through tough times.

Feeling grateful,

Noa
