Swimming for the elusive
Shore of hopeful contentment
Treading fast during hard times
Wondering if success is
Meant to be, or drowning
In the heavy dark water
Weighting me ever down quick
As tiredness approaching
With death's only answer to
Become enlightened of life
As floating gently face down
Looking at my real essence
Of what I was once made of
Seeing my owned past meet my
Future of becoming part
Of earth's natural cycle of
Nourished black muck of my life.
