Blind Faith -
Can't Find My Way HomeCome down off your throne
And leave your body alone
Somebody must change
You are the reason
I've been waiting so long
Somebody holds the key
Well, I'm near the end
And I just ain't got the time
Well, I'm wasted
And I can't find my way homeCome down on your own
And leave your money at home
Somebody must change
You are the reason
I've been waiting all these years
Somebody holds the key
I'm near the end,
And I just ain't got the time
Oh, and I'm wasted,
And I can't find my way homeBut I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
Still, I can't find my way home
And, I ain't done nothing wrong
But, I can't find my way home

America
let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together,
I've got some real estate in my bag,
so we bought a pack of ciggarettes, and mrs wagner's pies,
And we walked off, walked off, walked off, to look for america.Kathy, I said, as we boarded the greyhound in Pittsburg,
Mitchigan seems like a dream to me now,
Took me four days to hitch-hike beside you,
Now they've all gone to look for amer-america,
all gone to look for amer-americaLaughing on the bus, playing games with faces,
she said the man in the garberdian suit was a spy,
I said be careful, his bowtie is really a camera.Kathy I'm lost, I said,
though I knew she was sleeping,
Well, I'm empty and aching and I dont know why I'm,
Counting the cars on the NewJersey Turnpike,
And they've all gone to look for amer-america,
All gone to look for amer-america.*instrumental*
Kathy I'm lost, I said,
Although I knew she was sleeping,
Well, I'm empty & aching & I don't know why I'm,
Counting the cars on the NewJersey Turnpike,
And they've all gone to look for amer-america,
All gone to look for amer-america,
All gone to look for amer-america...

I've been listening to this one over and over...
Kathy I'm lost, I said,
Although I knew she was sleeping,
Well, I'm empty & aching & I don't know why

We grow accustomed to the Dark
When light is put away
As when the Neighbor holds the Lamp
To witness her GoodbyeA MomentWe uncertain step
For newness of the night
Thenfit our Vision to the Dark
And meet the RoaderectAnd so of largerDarkness
Those Evenings of the Brain
When not a Moon disclose a sign
Or Starcome outwithinThe Bravestgrope a little
And sometimes hit a Tree
Directly in the Forehead
But as they learn to seeEither the Darkness alters
Or something in the sight
Adjusts itself to Midnight
And Life steps almost straight.

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come through the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?Its a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men. There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow. But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.(This is one of the all time good lines.....
'Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men'.)

What a drag it is getting old
Kids are different today,
I hear evry mother say
Mother needs something today to calm her down
And though shes not really ill
Theres a little yellow pill
She goes running for the shelter of a mothers little helper
And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy dayThings are different today,
I hear evry mother say
Cooking fresh food for a husbands just a drag
So she buys an instant cake and she burns her frozen steak
And goes running for the shelter of a mothers little helper
And two help her on her way, get her through her busy dayDoctor please, some more of these
Outside the door, she took four more
What a drag it is getting oldMen just arent the same today
I hear evry mother say
They just dont appreciate that you get tired
Theyre so hard to satisfy, you can tranquilize your mind
So go running for the shelter of a mothers little helper
And four help you through the night, help to minimize your plightDoctor please, some more of these
Outside the door, she took four more
What a drag it is getting oldLifes just much too hard today,
I hear evry mother say
The pusuit of happiness just seems a bore
And if you take more of those, you will get an overdose
No more running for the shelter of a mothers little helper
They just helped you on your way, through your busy dying day
This is the end of the thread.
