Society's Best-Kept Secret/My Paper

Hi, all..One of my passions is to get the word out there regarding verbal abuse.

I've been working like a "Trojan" for over 10 years, writing, talking, contacting media types.

Verbal abuse affects 1 in every 3 women; staggering statistics.

I attended the American Counseling Association Convention a short time ago, and was appalled to see that in over 500 presentations, there was not ONE on verbal abuse.

I wrote to the executive director, and he encouraged me to enter my paper for next year's convention. I don't have a degree, but I have a lifetime of experience at being verbally abused (childhood and 31 years in a "marriage")

I will find out in August if they are accepting it.
