Soldier of Strife
I am the walking soldier of strife
Guarding those with tired souls
Through endless days and drifting nightsConcocting plans and weapons in rife
I walk the gates and patrol
I am the walking soldier of strifeTo lead the weary and take on their plight
Making sure, no bells toll
Through endless days and drifting nights. Each one, each daughter and wife
I have the strength and to each I extol
I am the walking soldier of strifeKnow now that all the world will be alright
That all may rest, as I search for each their dole
Through endless days and drifting nightsI wield a sword, yet take no life
And as I roam no soul be lost or stole
I am the walking soldier of strife
Through endless days and drifting nights.
