Three feelings doom me,
I mostly manage both
The one that I call âGuestâ
And the one that I call âHost,âWhere âHostâ is frustration
That makes me drive myself
To try to be perfect and please
Everybody else,And âGuestâ is loneliness
From inner un-belonging
That pushes friends aside
To answer inner longing,These two I mostly manage, but
What dooms me most
Is number three, the Pain
Of being Guest and Host,The schizoid inner wrenching
Endless tension-pain
That on bad days is something
Vulgar, I cannot name.
