Backyard Lament

Backyard Lament

Distant mist of spring
Oppressing gloomy days

Graveyard remembrance of
Peppered poop stones

Crispy snow holds promise
With each step almost

Walking on dormant frogs
Spontaneous burial grounds

Koi pond tranquil mirror
Reflects the atrocious

Nature feels lonely
Until crocuses sing

That reflection could never be as harsh as the north wind. Be as kind to yourself, hf, as you are to others.

Beautiful and perfectly spoken, Happy, and I'm there too, thank you for expressing it for us, in such an unforgettable way. Wow.
