the Camino de Santiago de Compostela

Something to do with one's child, when both of you are struggling to make yourselves new.
To learn Spanish, to navigate and negotiate with multi-cultures.
A dream we could negotiate, a future we can make.

Hi Susan,

Have you read "The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coelho? It's about him taking this very journey. I think you'd enjoy it very much if you haven't read it.

Take good care of you okay.

No, Jane Christmas, however...

I will now read the one you recommend; I enjoyed "Veronica Decides to Die" so much, he is awesome. But very deep, and very learned, and I am really very ignorant because I have no education .. but because of Christmas's book now I have an idea of what it is before I begin the poet's and mystic's journey down this path. Jane's book got me interested, although it might be too much for a weak, dependent pussy such as I really am, and I HATE that about myself, that I can never seem to carry through with any f*ck*ng god damn thing ... Damos, I need a hug and I would thank you for one. I heart you. Is that okay? Ciao.
Susan

Hi Susan,

Of course it's okay.

(((((((((((Susan)))))))))))

I enjoyed 'Veronica Decides to Die' too, I've read all of his books except the latest one, and enjoyed them all, some more than others though.

Hmmm, better give you another hug just in case.

((((((((((Susan))))))))))

You know more than you give yourself credit for Susan, you really do. You have seen and heard and felt the truth, your own truth and it's hard and it hurts. And even though it's hard and hurts so very much you keep looking, you keep listening, you keep getting in touch with it and feeling it, and you've learned the most important lesson of all - that it's inside of you. You've stuck at trying to find your truth and come back to yourself and that's a big thing, something to be really proud of.

I heart you too my friend, I heart you too.

Thank you for the hugs Damos and here's some for you too, (((((((Damos)))))))

I'm just really wanting to feel hopeful about life again, I want to feel like what's inside me is good enough.
I want to be able to communicate some depth of experience that would actually make a difference to me and to someone else.
Is that too much to ask for? No.

Thanks Susan,

You give great hugs.

And that's the thing - right there.

>I want to feel like what's inside me is good enough.

It doesn't matter what or how often other people tell us we are if we can't find a way to see it, feel it, believe it within ourselves. I read somewhere the other day that someone had actually done research that showed that it took 5 postive messages to counter each negative one. unbelievable huh? Kinda explains a lot, and I wonder how much the negative self judgements count for.

Susan, who would you be without the thought 'I'm not good enough'? How would living without that thought feel? I'd really like to know.

>I want to be able to communicate some depth of experience that would actually make a difference to me and to someone else.

There's just no way to count the number of times that you have shared something here or been in ways that have helped me enormously (and I know I'm not alone). You have helped me feel the discomfort of my own truth, and that's a tremendous gift. Your post down below to your daughter was a gift. You have allowed us to share what's real for you and for us and just *be* with it, to laugh and cry and rage, all wonderful things. So I guess 'No' is absolutely the right answer. No, it's not too much to ask for - and you are living that reality each and every day. Thank you.

((((((((((Susan)))))))))) just in case you're running low.

Okay. Thank you. ((((Damos)))) » Damos

One day when I'm not this sick (I am very ill right now, and I hurt physically, and I don't know when I'll get better. Right now it doesn't feel like I will, but that's my imagination. An imagination is both blessing and curse, and everything in between too, and it has to be handled carefully; so many times I have been careless with mine.)
So thanks for the support, for the acknowledgement, and I pray for the planet to have better and better versions of who we all can be.
I wish that didn't sound silly .. inane or something. Naive.
Damos, where is the future?
One day I hope I can answer your question about who I could be. What it would feel like.
xo
Susan
