and thank god she is that, thank god she IS an ex-mil, because if she weren't I might still be in that struggling place, of trying to figure out how to make someone happy, who is so essentially happy in her unhappiness, and who doesn't deserve any better, because she doesn't see any better.
Thank god I'm rid of the bonds of that horrid, blasted family, the ex-fil, the one who thinks I'm a pothead, and that's that, the old ex-army brat's father, the father of my beautiful, lovely, selfish flawed children, who are also half me, and what am I? No, rather who am I, who are you, who is anyone, really, without love ... honor, compassion and understanding .. with a huge dose of humility and self-awareness.. without those things we're all just sh*t.

Thinking that her ex-dil was never good enough for her son. And that HER grandchildren would have been perfect had it not been for their mother. Their good genes come from their grandmother's side, of course -- you know, the one whose sh*t doesn't stink
