'warning: poss trig' (a poem)

Posted by badhaircut on January 30, 2005, at 15:06:26

'warning: poss trig'

someone should have warned me.
so careless, such bad etiquette.
you're supposed to warn people
if there's blood or torture or self-harm.
also intentional humiliation
inflicted by a stranger with perfect teeth.
there's supposed to be a caution line:
blood, teeth, disrespect!

and the ruin of a dream is worse than blood.
double double **poss trig** for that.
they won't archive a violent post,
but I tow my dying dreams behind me
like a cheval mirror on a sled.
the strings that pull the sled
are poked through my abdomen
with fishhooks.
where is the site administrator?

content like that; it's inexcusable.
there's supposed to be a notice.
trailing clouds of glory
I would have turned around.
probably.

maybe I would not have turned around,
but at least it would be my choice.
someone should have warned me!

oh wait. I just remembered.
my father leaning down to my mother's swollen belly
that glorious bright winter day, whispered,
exactly one life ago today,
whispered, "warning: poss trig"

Babble readers

Last night, for the first time, I came across the thread that talked about pseudoname's death. I spent the night reading most of his posts. I am in awe of how his character, on this site, became so clearly defined.
All that he wrote was smoothly and sweetly revealing of the wonderful person he was and how hard his life became.
His verbal footprint is gentle and loving and I miss him.

My very best to you dear pseudoname and all who love you!
I count myself as one who loves you.

Namaste

Jai Narayan

Hi Jai

To see how gentle and lovely he was, you might like to read this down this thread if you haven't already done so.

There's nothing like it.

Not in my book.

ouch, how does one call back the past and make it okay? no one could have saved him, no one.
I might have tried, but to no avail. alas, I am heart struck and sad.
the night air of tree bark wafts into my window and I grateful.
I love the deep dark smell of summer at night.
oh how I love...let us speak of love, oh shall we?
I am so in-love with the planet and it's people.
smitten.
what about you?

I don't have a problem with the fabric of consciousness per se. It's all right.
The world is very beautiful, even its broken heart.
You tell me then. What's the problem?

what's in a problem
I wonder?
how do we know
when a problem becomes
clear?
what is this concept
clear?!!
I am murkily
searching
my hands in the earth
mud can yield so
little
