I don't know how to use it,
but I don't want to lose it.
So tell how, Scratchpad dear
to keep flower dust outta my ear!

It's an option with a drop down menu
On the same page where we pick our flowery chat colours
Gives you a choice from all the chatters currently on line
Pick a name and you won't see what they write in chat
It makes me happy

Can you say things you wouldn't want them to hear to whomever(!) you want?

(Very bad sentence, that one.)

I actually think I know what you mean!
I think it's like a one-way mirror, but I don't know for certain. I bet the Munificent Dr Bob would know. Actually, I'm just not going to chat at all these days; much less stressful for me that way.
Crawling back under my damp dark rock now.

I'm afraid that enthusiastic endorsements of the ignore button may lead other chatters to feel accused or put down. Please be sensitive to the feelings of other chatters and not post anything that could lead them to feel accused or put down.

I think it would still be ok to offer the ignore button as an option for an alternative to conflict.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above posts, should of course themselves be civil.

Dr. Bob is always free to override deputy decisions. His email is on the bottom of each page. Please feel free to email him if you believe this decision was made in error.

Dinah, acting as deputy to Dr. Bob

Sorry -- I'm actually astonished that this was uncivil -- "flower dust" is um...blush...me -- "daisy" get it?? sorry, I was just being silly and Dr. Suessish. I haven't used the ignore button, still don't know where it is, and am rarely in chat.

Apologies to any and all who took this wrong.
Daisy
