There is light shining into my shadows.
Make it stop.
The light scares me.
Make it stop.
I don't want to see whats hidden there.
Cuz it might make me feel.
It might make me real.

Hey muffled,I can hear you're scared. You could try using a flashlight instead. That way you have more control. You can direct the light to just show the very edge of what is in the shadows. You can take baby steps as you slowly build up safety. You can put some dark cellophane over your flashlight so it is very dim and that could make it safer to shine on the hidden stuff. You could then gradually work up to lighter shades of cellophane.
But yeah, lighting up the shadows is very very scary and threatening. Sometimes the dark is much much safer.
And yeah, sometimes feeling things is very very scary and threatening too.
