why... whatever!

All you do it hurt me
all you do is tease me

Whatever
Is the word de jour. The hand held up in front of our face, You can't hurt me, you can't hurt me. But they do, it can, we hurt plainly just by saying Whatever.
A passive spin on pain. It just doesn't pass for me any more.

I can't even say the word now, it speaks of an ability to walk away when in fact I flail, I beat myself with the wooden spoon of self hatred until it splinters upon my backside. Eventually I turn in a rage, No More!! But it just pushes me away. No acknowledgement of pains inflicted, of responsibility borne.

the word does carry a connotation of giving up to me, like, forget it. Just so sick of it all.
