ETERNAL SYMBIOSIS
I’m with you in the morning
I’m with you every night
I’m with when you acquiesce
I’m with you when you fightI own your every single breath
And the marrow of your bone
I own the thoughts within your head
I own your very soulI pull your strings to amuse my whims
Hot tears run down your face
I laugh as you frantically look for your meds
I know where they are misplacedI make you clench and release your fists
I make you pull your hair
I make you clench the blankets tight
I hurt you and I don’t careI am the monster that rules your life
I am the beast inside
I am the creature that causes this pain
There’s nowhere you can hideI make you dance to my favorite tunes
I make you sing the saddest songs
I make dig in the medicine chest
I make the nights so very, very longI make you beat your fists so hard
Against your fragile face
I tease you with fresh razor blades
Against the skin you can't replaceI make you stop in the pharmacy
The sleeping pills make you sigh
I make you go to the hunting store
And count the ways you could dieI torment you with promises
Of serenity and peace
An eternity of solitude
That’s just within your reachA handful of pills or a deeply slit wrist
And all of your dreams would come true
Or so you think, because here I rule
And I will never allow that of you

Intense and very personal poem of the struggle within you.
I am in awe.
