thanks, I just got back from Plum Island where Egrets were on display in a periwinkle pool reflecting a deepening stormy sky. I was there during the recent flooding in Massachusetts.

I used to live 2 miles from Plum Island. It was "my" beach, except for greenhead season. I remember seeing a monarch migration pass through at the end of one summer. I thought the dunes were winking at me, but it was the butterflies fanning their wings...

What a magical place.

how magical- your image of butterflies.
we were thinking of relocating.
but, the tourists might do me in.
My town in Vermont is magical and there aren't too many big city folks visiting.
