My cold, dark, damp cell

Posted by curtm on May 16, 2006, at 13:27:01

(sigh) The deputies seem to have imprisoned me in the Social Board. I shall refer to my room here as my "cell." I am only allowed visitors each Wednesday. Does anyone want to be my legal representative? (fade out of site into darkness)

Maybe this IS the right place for me. Perhaps I have alienated so many others by now. I think I pissed some people off today. They would be better of if they just threw away the key.

Huh? Who'd you annoy?

The boards are set up by subject, according to the statements at the top of the page - like this one is for writing. If we post something that's not appropriate for that board, it gets redirected by Dr Bob or one of the deputies. I was startled the first time it happened to me, like, "what'd I do??" but it keeps discussions in the right place. I have to say that people do have different interpretations of the purposes of boards than I do. Maybe it's a cultural thing. I'd like to cross the street into Politics sometime - except I'm afraid of being run over. Over to Faith - except I'm hopelessly out of my depth there and I might drown.

So instead, I hide out in my little niches, on Social, Substance, Books, and Newbies. Sometimes on other boards, but not often.

Yeah, the food is awful. nothing but consonants and vowels. I hear the food at "Alternative" is pretty good. Organic and whatnot. lots of vitamins, amino acids, and trace minerals. The food at "psycho-babble" tends to upset the stomach, and has a lot of chemical additives. Over at "social", the food is mostly buffalo wings and nachos, which is fine for a treat, but not life-sustaining.

Who's the warden? Why do I suspect you've put yourself here of your own free will? Oh well, we all like to hide out now and then. Hope you retain your visitation rights.

Yes I am the warden. I am also the cook, the gardener, the maid and the fun little pony ride outside Kmart.

I will get work release it looks like. They will have me holding a sign that says "SLOW"

I'm surprised you are still here today. That's cool. Did you get my message about probation in your movie thread?

Have you thought about getting Babblemail turned on?

Hi curt,
oui oui, I got the probation post. I think I saw chunks of Animal House at a party once. I don't exactly remember how it goes, only that I was too young to be watching it, and my mom got mad! All's well.

How do I get babblemail turned on?

Well, I just went to fix it up, and I sent you a test b-mail. it cc'd successfully to my e-mail account, so I think it's a done deal.

The outhouse done got swept away in the flood. Now I'm real poor. I'm not doin' poorly though, 'cause I still got my moonshine and all... by 'moonshine' mean legally obtained psychoactive drugs, of course ;-)

My babble-mail goes to my e-mail at work, so I won't get it until tomorrow. It's a hassle to log on to our ISP and get it. So if you want to leave me a message at night or on the weekend, you can just post it on the Writing Board (my special place I keep there.)

cc to to your babblemail

Okay, I'll distract the warden with a mind-trick, and you can slip through the front gate after Larry sedates the guards by slipping something into their chow. But where will you go?

The best part about being a fugitive is that you get to go to Wal-Mart and pick out a disguise. Now you can try being a red-head, with a mustache!

yee-haw!

I'm so bored,

I think *I* might go to Wal-Mart and buy myself a disguise. I think I will go "hip-hop". It'll be righteous. I'll get some bling, and buy some jeans with the right curves. I'll do my nails long and get some freaky attitude.

Babble is sleeping, I think I better follow suit.

Well, thanks curt for being my babble-buddy today
