....when you mess with us.
had to include radiohead ;)
to know that years pass...
drama happens...
ebb and flow...
and still find oneself sitting down to dinner with kid a so many years down the line...
well? life is funny ha-ha and worth the horrible hassles and painful predicaments when able to be in the moment of sharing a meal with a friend who has been there in darkness and light....
would not and could not have happened in the climate of today but so grateful to have connected back when we did and remained in touch leading to this...
the same city on the same continent at the same time...
a glass raised to a friend....kid a may you continue to inspire and touch many with that sharp mind and amazing soul...
to have survived the fights...to have lasted this long...to continue growing as people yet be able to remain friends is a blessing that we're fortunate to know....
thank you
namaste

take care over the fortnight away
hugs are okay but they aren't solutions
solving equations when one is missing variables can get one tangled up over the unimportant things
slowly as awareness grows one can better shift focus when stuck in a nest of knots instead of staying with the familiar, comfortable known
the unknown helps keep one from stagnation
years of habits cannot be undone quickly but after years of repeating patterns with very little change one needs to reevaluate their dedication to life and wellness
this is not to say one isn't trying hard enough rather one needs to keep the mind open to the very things that are the most terrifying
one can watch people who say they'll never do this or take that or whatever and then three years later they're doing the very thing they've protested all these years or are now on the very medication they swore up and down they'd never take
that takes courage to change what is not comfortable, what is not easy and what is not suported by those closest to one's self
words words words wearing wearily westward
let our people go
zero hour
