This is my poem

I will rescue you.

If you need me I will come.
I will listen.
and I will take your secret to my grave.

I will do the impossible if you ask.
If you are falling behind I will shoulder your work with my own.
I will not ask for credit.

If you forget something, I will do it for you.
I will not let you suffer for it.

If you hurt me I will not fight back.
I will retreat.
I will bite my tongue.

I have learned to cry in the shower without making a sound.

No one ever rescues me.

You speak exactly how I feel, especially the crying in the shower. I still haven't learned how to retreat gracefully though; my hurt temper has always been my worst enemy.

Ah, that's a description of a beautiful love.

I wish I could rescue you. I wish someone could rescue you.

I hope you will find a way to rescue yourself. If you can find the energy to rescue the one you love, then you can find it within yourself to rescue yourself. The love you feel for the other person is partly a love you deserve to feel for yourself. And the other person's love for you is real; it can motivate you to love yourself. That's how you're rescued. By believing in love. Love will rescue you, if only you can believe you deserve it.

My very favorite song of late is "Watch Over Me" by Bernard Fanning. I'll see if I can find a link to post to you. Moves me jut like this.
