Hi ghostshadow. This is a good place.
Sorry to hear your pain.
I can even imagine losing a child.
Here are hugs, take them if you wish.

I think your post is a contribution. I quit writing for years because of some similar criticism myself, until something in my life happened that trapped me in an emotional stranglehold. For some strange reason writing my emotions was a way for me to work through the stuff I was in the grip of. I am sorry that you must endure such a loss, I can only imagine what you must be going through. I pray that you can find peace of heart, mind and soul.

thank you, both of you. the term "dark" that the neighbor used wasn't meant as an insult, nor did it hamper my writing. she made that comment when i was in the third or fourth grade, and it was simply a statement of fact though my writings did disturb her. i continued writing all through school, some of it getting published in the high school literary magazines. i was even able to compose a nice piece for my mother when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. but the murder of my son killed something inside me. i guess all of the terrible things that happened in my life before were just a prelude to what was to come...
